I Don’t Need You Anymore!
A former client who became a client again told me what happened when he called asking me to work with him again.
Here’s the story:
I’d worked with him for several years – we had all of his financial trends going in the right direction, monthly review of financial statements and operations, etc.
Then in 2024 he disconnected.
In January, 2026 he asked to come back.
He explained that 2024 was a phenomenal year and he thought he didn’t need me anymore.
Then in 2025 he stopped paying attention and had a terrible year. This was his wakeup call.
Above is a graph of a $15 million company who owners also stopped looking at financial statements and almost became unprofitable.
Gross profit decreased until it was almost touching overhead. At that point there are no profits!
Profitability was slowly decreasing until 2022 when they were almost unprofitable. Finally! It was their wake up call to always review financial statements.
Please pay attention to your financial statements in good times and bad.
It doesn’t matter if you have a coach or do the financial analyses yourself.
Just do them!
