3 Things to Do in Slower Times of the Year

Business Downtime Strategies

Here are three things you can do in slower times to keep your personnel producing revenues and profitable.

 Go through your proposals.

Look at all proposals that haven’t closed since January, 2024 – that’s right, a year ago. Make sure the proposal is still valid and that pricing hasn’t increased dramatically. Call the customers and find out whether they ever purchased from anyone. Many have not.

Have a sale for your recurring revenue customers.

These are the customers who know and trust your company. Reward them. Give them a coupon for $50 off a product or service – good for a specific period of time.

Have a contest.

This is one of the best ways to increase revenues in slower times. Everyone in your company is involved. Determine the revenues necessary and offer a dinner at a nice restaurant for the employee and his/her spouse/significant other. Pay for the babysitters so everyone can have a great night out. Your entire company working together usually wins the contest.

And, your team members will be profitably busy.
